In May 2026, the Ministry of Finance announced a targeted extension to the UAE e-Invoicing rollout dates. The initial phase applies to businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more.

What changed

Eligible large businesses now have until 30 October 2026 to appoint an Accredited Service Provider. The original deadline was 31 July 2026. The extension gives businesses additional time to select a provider and prepare their systems; it does not remove the obligation to participate in the rollout. The wider implementation date for businesses in this first phase remains 1 January 2027.

Steps for finance and technology teams

Businesses below the AED 50 million threshold should monitor the Ministry’s published timetable for the phase that applies to them. Do not assume the extension changes the wider system launch or later phase deadlines.
